Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC remained unbeated after picking up a hardfought 1-3 win against Jinja based Bul FC on Wednesday at FUFA Techinical Centre in Njeru.
Xavier Martinez’s side went to njeru on the back of league victories against Police FC and Paidha Black Angels but were given a severe test by the team that has most improved this season.
In an eventful match, last season’s top scorer Mzee Dan Sserunkuma put the visitors a head after three minutes before Villa Oromchan equalised for the hosts ten minutes after the interval but Tito Okello netted the visitors’ second goal before Uganda Kobs star Duncan Sseninde sealed it for the visitors two minutes from time.
Bul FC came into the match after a disappointing 2-2 draw against neighbours Kirinya Jinja SSS on Saturday and will go home equally disappointed after suffering just their first home defeat since October.
The result means Vipers SC remain unbeaten this season but three points behind leaders KCCA FC who have played two games more.
The Champions have now collected twenty four points from ten games, which takes them above Onduparaka FC who started the day in second position.
Vipers have found the back of the net seventeen times although they have conceded eight times in the process.
Bul FC remain sixth on goal difference with ninteen points from twelve games, level with Bright Stars FC who have seven goals compered to Bul FC’s five.
