Parliament has denied legislators time for eulogizing the body of the former Attorney General Peter Nyombi.
MPS only viewed the body at the main parliament lobby area.
When contacted the government chief whip Ruth Nankabirwa said that parliament did not eulogize Nyombi’s body because both speakers Rebecca Kadaga and Jacob Oulanyah were engaged.
However Kadaga was having a secret meeting with Auditor General John Muwanga in her board room at parliament.
Nankabirwa said that Nyombi will be missed because was committed to serving government.
The Prime Minister, Dr.Ruhakana Rugunda said that there is no serious reason as to why a special sitting of Parliament has not been called to pay respect to the late though the house is still in recess until November 6.
Rugunda noted that a special sitting will at a later date he held to allow members pay tribute to him.
The Former Attorney General passed on last Sunday and his body thereafter will be taken for burial at the ancestral home in Nakasongola.
