Mbarara Muslims start Non-interest SACCO

Moslems under the Mbarara moslem county yesterday opened up a SACCO at a function held at  the county headquarters  at Abubakar jamia mosque along Buremba-Kakoba road in Mbarara town.

Speaking to Crooze fm,  the Mbarara district khadi, Sheikh Muhammed Mukwaya said the main aim of opening this sacco is to help moslems access non interest loans because they are facing a challenge of interest loans which is opposed to their region as moslems.

He however noted that the sacco is open for all people of Mbarara including non moslems and assured them of safety of their money after buying shares in the sacco.

Mr moses mulodi who is a member of the Uganda moslem supreme council at the county level said that the sacco will help fight poverty, bad health hazards and form unity among muslims.
