Kisoro Police Arrests Son For Killing Father Over Land
Police in Kisoro district has arrested a 27 year old man in connection to the death of his father who was a teacher of Rwanzu primary school in Nyarubuye Sub County Kisoro district.
The suspect, James Maniraguha is a biological son to Jonas Mugisha 55 years old who was murdered in the night of 24th March 2018 at Rukundo trading centre in Kisoro district. The deceased and the suspect are all residents of Gatobo village in Busengo parish in Nyarubuye Sub County Kisoro district.
The deceased is said to have gone to Kisoro town on Saturday evening to withdraw some money from the bank and on his way back home, he stopped at Rukundo trading centre for a social evening, and was waylaid by unknown assailants few meters a way to his home and murdered.
The Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson Elly Maate, confirms the arrest saying that the two had a long land conflict and he was seen together with the deceased in the eve of before his father was murdered.
Maate however asked the locals to always use relevant offices to settle their grievances than taking laws in their own hands. He says that whoever was behind his death will be dealt with accordingly.
