The suspected killer of ASP Muhammad Kirumira and Stellah Nalinya Mbabazi, says he doesn’t will the power to kill Kirumira nor has he ever committed the alleged offence.
This as he appeared before Wakiso Chief Magistrate Court, for further mention of his case.
Abubakar Kalungi aged 47yrs a Carpenter and resident of Bulenga in Wakiso District, re-appeared before Grade One Magistrate Martin Kirya who adjourned the matter to 31th/this month to enable the State complete investigations.
Prosecution’s Kamusha Amelia informed the court that investigations into this case are still ongoing and requested to have the matter adjourned to another date.
Kalungi is facing a murder charge that is capital in nature, only triable and bailable by the High court.
It is alleged that on 8th/September/ 2018 around 8 pm at Bulenga, Kalungi with others still at large murdered ASP Mohammad Kirumira and Stella Nalinya Mbabazi using a gun.
The deceased persons were driving in a Saloon car belonging to Kirumira when they were gunned down. They were later pronounced dead at Lubaga Hospital.
He has been sent back on remand at Kigo Prison where he was taken since 4th this month when he was first arraigned in court.
