Mbarara: Mayor Kakyebezi appeals for Unity as Kakoba division Chairpersons are sworn in

LC1and LC2 chairpersons Kakoba division Mbarara municipality have were yesterday  sworn in, following the successful local counci elections that were held by lining up behind candidates.

Thswearing in function was presided over by Corpan muhanguzi the Mbarara municipal council court magistrate.

The councilors took oath in presence of the Mbarara town mayor, Robert Mugabe Kakyebezi  at Kakoba division headquarters in Mbarara town.

  In his speech,  Mr. kakyebezi praised Kakoba division for being unique and appealed to other division leaders to copy from them.

The mayor  went ahead and requested the chairpersons to uphold unity, cooperation and leave behind the electoral differences in order to meet the municipality goals of attaining a city status. 

Magistrate Muhanguzi who officiated the ceremony appealed to  the leaders  not to take the oaths for granted but respect them as leaders, and  as well respect the constitution.
