Mbarara City FC 3-0 Mbarara Police FC.

Mbarara City FC maintained their 100% preseason record at home with a convincing 3-0 victory over Mbarara Police FC on on a rainy Wednesday evening.
On trial midfielder Ibrahim Kazindura scored from the spot in the first half to register his first goal for the club, the former Nyamityobora FC midfielder was scouted from Mbarara’s Ghetto FC after scoring against City in a 3-2 loss, Kazindura was very impressive in the 45 minutes he featured for the Kakyeka based side.
Second half substitute Makueth Wol who missed a penalty early in the second half, redeemed himself later with a cool finish to double City’s lead, defender Mukundane Hilary sealed the win with a fine header from Barssey Methodius’ corner to make it 3-0.
Head Coach Livingstone Mbabazi used two different sides for either half with a mixture of experienced and young players. Young goal keeper Muhammad Ssekaba played the first half and was replaced by the experienced Ali Kimera in the second half, Captain Stephen Ottieno was also replaced by Byekwaso Zaidi for the second half while Makueth Wol and Methodius Barssey came in for Braian Ahebwa and Samarie Farouk.
Goal scorer Mukundane Hilary was introduced in the second half, replacing assistant captain Asuman Halishe. Bebe Swalik was also replaced at half time and his place was taken by Pistis Balenge.
The win means Mbarara City FC have now won all their three preseason games at Kakyeka, registering wins against Mbarara Ghetto FC, Isingiro side Nakivare FC and Mbarara Police FC.
Mbarara City FC have also won two and drawn one of their three away preseason fixtures.
The Ankole lions missed the services of Ivan Eyam and Kamugisha Clinton who are recovering from ankle and knee injuries respectively, The two are also expected to miss the big preseason game on Saturday when City host SC Villa at Kakyeka. Kabuye Hassan who missed the last friendly against Mbarara Ghetto FC returned to the team and was used as a second half substitute.
Mbarara City FC will test their progress ahead of the coming Uganda Premier League season with another another preseason match on Thursday when they host Bwizibwera FC from Kashari before taking on SC Villa Jjoogo on Saturday.
