Rugby 7s start training ahead of a busy international season.

Uganda Rugby 7s will not take part in the Zimbabwe Victoria Falls 7s that will be held at Victoria Falls Primary School from March 18 to 19. The Africa 7s champions have not played in any invitational tournament since winning the Africa 7s last year.

The Team missed the invitation to participate in the 2017 Safland Rugby 7s tournament in Namibia due to a busy international season that included invitation to the Dubai 7s and the Cape Town 7s.

The cranes will on Sunday 11th February at 11am start training at Kyadondo Rugby Club.

Team manager of the Uganda Rugby 7s Michael Wandera, earlier on summoned a squad of 21 players where he is expected to chose the cream that will represent the nation.

Uganda 7s will participate in the Hong Kong’s 7s qualifier for the HSBC world series , April 6th to 8th, before traveling to Gold Coast, Australia for the Common Wealth Games, April 13th to 25th and later the 7s World Cup in San Francisco, USA in july
