Ibanda Chapatti and Rolex Makers demand reduced taxes


Chapatti and Rolex makers majority of them youth in Ibanda municipality today afternoon expressed their concern over high tax charges and time limitation among other challenges saying these are hindering their business.

Speaking to our reporter yesterday ,Chapatti and Rolex makers along Mpiira Street led by Jonathan Ali and Omulongo peter from Jinja district in Busoga region said, they are likely to quit business because of high municipal charges of 50,000 shilling per month which they said is too much.

These also added that limiting them from operating during day has affected their enterprises since some of their customers who would buy are eliminated.

African style of Rolex snack and chapatti are types of food eaten on the streets of Kampala, Uganda and all across East Africa.
