Uganda Rugby 7s were drawn against Japan, Chile and Georgia in the 2018 Hong Kong 7s on Monday.
The Hong Kong Sevens will be played between April 6th and 8th 2018.
This will be the second year in a row that Uganda Rugby 7s will be playing at the tournament.
In 2017 Uganda were drawn against Germany, Tonga and Jamaica.
The Uganda Rugby Cranes won two of the group games against Tonga (29-0) and Jamaica (26-5) but fell to Germany (24-0) to finish runners up in Pool E before eventually being knocked out by Papua New Guinea (14-10) in the quarter finals.
The qualifier was won by Spain who beat Germany 12-07 to qualify for the World series.
The winner of the tournament will qualify to become a permanent member of the HSBC World series.
Else where, Vancouver 7s silver medalists Kenya 7s were seeded second for the seventh round of the Series and will be in Pool B alongside Australia, Spain and Canada.
Fiji are seeded top after winning Vancouver 7s and will play New Zealand, Russia and Samoa while South Africa 7s meet England, Scotland and invitational side South Korea in pool C.
The last Pool has Mike Friday’s USA, Argentina, Wales and France.
After Hong Kong, the teams will head to Australia for the Commonwealth sevens that kick off six days later.
