Health Workers Urged On care for the Sick and Elderly

The Bishop of Fort Portal catholic diocese Rt. Rev Robert Muhairwa Akiiki  has urged health workers especially in government hospitals to provide a lot of care to the sick and elderly by offering quality services according to their profession.

Bishop Muhairwa disclosed this yesterday during the celebrations of the 28th world day for the sick while leading the mass and function at Kamwenge catholic parish.“Don’t be greedy for money which can cause death among the sick, be professional, money will come second” Bishop Muhairwa added.

He said this day was established by St John Paul the second in Catholic faith to always care and pray for the sick worldwide.

According to Bishop, some health workers love money than their job and  don’t care about patients which has increased deaths among sick people after failing to attend them in time.

However, Bishop Muhairwa asked patients always to respect health workers for the work and services they are offering to them.
