World Football governing body FIFA has approved and confirmed the list of eighteen Rwanda international referees for 2019.
The full list includes eighteen (18) referees and assistant referees who have been approved for the 2019 FIFA badges.
The male officials include, Hakizimana Louis,Ishimwe Jean Claude, Twagirumukiza Abdoul Karim, Ruzindana Nsoro and Uwikunda Samuel while assistant referees includes Hakizimana Ambroise, Karangwa Justin, Simba Honoré, Ndagijimana Theogene, Mutuyimana Dieudonne, Niyonkuru Zephanie and Bwiliza Raymond Nonati.
Following the resignation of referee Tuyishime Angelique the number of female referees has been reduced from eight to six.
Tuyishime has been elevated to a FIFA Instructor following the FIFA Futuro Course of Instructors which was held recently in South Africa.
Another official Ingabire Francine has since retired from the refereeing position.
The approved female officials are Mukansanga Salima Rhadia and Umutoni Aline. The assistant women referees are Nyinawabari Speciose, Murangwa Usenga Sandrine, Mukayiranga Regine and Umutesi Alice respectively.
The confirmed officials are expected to maintain high standards when selected for duty on the domestic and international scene.
The new Azam Rwanda Premier League season will kick off on January 1st 2019 and will end on December 31st, 2019.
However the officials could have other international engagements before the end of the year in the CAF Champions League and Confederation cup.
The new year (2019) will have several continental tournaments including the CAF U-17 in Rwanda, CAF U-23, AFCON in June, CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.
