The Prosecutor handling the Susan Magara murder case has told Buganda road court, that she does not know how much has been done by the Police, to have the investigations concluded.

This follows the accused persons’ Lawyers led by Ssekalama Qasim to demand for the exact position of these investigations, saying his clients have spent five months on remand at Luzira prison, and at least by now the State should be in position to know whether the accused persons are the right suspects in this case.

State Prosecutor Patricia Cingtho informed presiding Grade One Magistrate  Robert Mukanza that the Police which is  tasked with the duty of carrying out investigations in six months, has never given her any update on how far they have reached, but that she is working around the clock to have a position before the deadline.

Magistrate Mukanza then adjourned the matter to 19th/October/2018, with hope that the State will have concluded investigations.

The suspects  include ;  an Imam of Usafi mosque Mahad Kasalita,  a Teacher Hajara Nakandi and seven others.

Prosecution  alleges that on  7th/ February/2018 , the accused persons  kidnapped  Susan Magara with an intention to procure a ransom but that on 27th/Feb/2018 at Kigo in Wakiso District, they killed her.
