Cuban Ambassador to Uganda Calls for More Investment In Agriculture
The Cuban ambassador to Uganda Antonio Luis Pubillones has advised the Uganda government to increase investments in agriculture in order to boost economic growth.
Pubillones says increased investments in agriculture will result in an overall economic boost for Uganda given that a significant proportion of the labor force derives livelihood from the sector.
He also urges Ugandans in livestock farming especially the youths to diversify by embracing rabbit farming to fight unemployment and reduce poverty.
He says rabbit farming is a sustainable venture in which many farmers across the world are benefiting from.
He said this while officiating at an economic empowerment programme training for rabbit farmers in Lungujja organized by The Yearning Voices Foundation on saturday.
