The High court in Kampala has ordered Pine car bond Proprietor Muhammad Ssebuufu to defend himself against murder charges.
This after presiding Judge Flavia Ssenoga Anglin ruled that Ssebuwufu and seven others have a case to answer on how Businesswoman Donah Betty Katushabe lost her life over a 9 million shillings car debt.
The prosecution closed its case with 26 witnesses, and now the 8 accused persons have been given up to 10th this month to prepare their defence.
Katushabe was allegedly tortured to death on 23rd/October 2015 over a car debt she could not readily pay.
A summary of the Prosecution evidence is that Katushabe bought a car from Pine car bond at 14mshs, of which she only paid 5mshs and left a balance of 9mshs.
That repeated demands to her from the Car Bond Boss Sebuufu yielded no results until on the fateful day when he (Sebuufu) allegedly hired a team of his security guards to pick Katushabe from her home in Bwebajja along Entebbe road.
That the said kidnappers drove Katushabe directly to Ssebuufu’s office from where she was kicked and beaten with sticks, thereby causing grievous harm to her body which later led to her death.
