Bushenyi district has finally released this year primary seven mock examinations with slightly decline in performance compared to last year.
While releasing results yesterday to head teachers at multipurpose hall, Williams Ahabwe, the district inspector of schools said out 4563 pupils registered, only 77 came in 1st grade , 554pupils in 2rd grade, 234 pupils in 3rd grade , 1024 pupils in 4th division , 2359 in U grade and 114 pupils in grade X.
Ahabwe says candidates performed poorly this year compared to last year with 88 in grade ones, and attributed the big number of grade X to absenteeism and ghost registration of pupils by head teachers in order to retain their examination centers numbers.
The Bushenyi Secretary for education peace Tibakuna appealed to head teachers to do intensive revision early to ensure good results in fourth coming PLE.
Tibakuna noted Bushenyi district was known to good performance saying people should not scared of mock results.
Nyabubare and Kyamuhunga sub counties performed best, Ruhumuro, Kakanju, Ibaare, and Bitooma sub counties performed poorly.
